A map of seismic hazards of the territories of Azerbaijan has been drawn up.
General Director of the Republican Center for Seismological Services Gurban Yetirmişli told “Khazar Khabar” that the mentioned cartographic model is already used in several developed countries. This makes it possible to construct buildings in safe areas during construction.
Gurban Yetirmişli said that there are areas with 8-9 points in the capital. Based on the mentioned map, these areas were determined and evaluated with a percentage rate.
The general director of the Center for Seismological Services of the Republic added that analyzes are periodically carried out in the areas considered dangerous during an earthquake and the soil layer is investigated.
