A Moscow court detained lawyer Denis Shapiro in a criminal case for large-scale fraud. This was reported by the press service of the capital’s Zamoskvoretsky District Court.
“By the decision of the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow, the request of the preliminary investigation authorities to select a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Denis Vladimirovich Shapiro for a period of 1 month and 30 days, until December 7 of 2024” was granted, – the message said.
The lawyer is accused of committing a crime provided for in part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud).
