The Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) will host on October 4 first day of the Audax Marina Light Sailing regattawhich will see the participation of at least 153 boats, pending the completion of the registration process. The fleet will be composed of more than 120 Optimist-class ships15 from the ILCA 4 class, 9 from the Snipe class and 6 from the Ok Dinghy class, representing the main yacht clubs in the Balearic Islands.
The regatta will include two days with a maximum of six tests and a minimum of two. The starting signal is scheduled for noon on Saturday and Sunday. On Friday, the regatta office will remain open for participant registration.
The Optimist class returns in force to the Bay of Palma two months before the 73rd Ciutat de Palma Trophy is heldthe most prestigious regatta of this class in Spain, also organized by the RCNP.
On the other hand, the Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) culminates the IV Sea cycle with piano next Friday with the performance of the group Aphiniti, from 8:00 p.m. The concert will take place at RCNP Great Hall and it will be free for club members (pervia to be collected at reception), while the general public can buy their ticket for 15 euros.
The Piano Mar series, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, has as its protagonist its historic Bösendorfer piano (built in 1873) and focused on promote the music scene in Mallorca with particular attention to jazz and fusion groups. During this edition, groups and soloists participated such as Tramullas jazz quartet, Isis Montero, Sergi Sellés, Jaime Anglada, Marian Lush And Ricardo Manzano.
Aphiniti is composed of Virginie BordalMajorcan singer with over 15 years of experience in various styles, from festival bands to collaborations with symphony groups and musical theater productions; Desiree Duransinger and songwriter who has collaborated with musicians such as Tomeu Penya and the Balearic Symphony Orchestra, and is currently preparing the release of his album with his group Folktrònic; And Marc Witzpianist, singer and arranger, founder of the group SuperVoices and vocal director of theater productions such as The Lion King and Mamma Mia!.
