The circulation of high-speed trains from Barcelona Sants station is interrupted this Friday morning, as reported by Adif. The cause is a small derailment of a Euromed train that was traveling without passengers and left its axis, according to information from Renfe.
The trains that were inside the Can Tunis facilities cannot leave and there is no AVE, Euromed and Intercity service. Adif technicians have already resolved the incident but there is no expected time frame for resuming service.
Civil Protection has activated the Ferrocat Plan (for emergencies in passenger transport by rail) in the pre-alert phase due to the accumulation of passengers on the AVE line at Sants station due to delays of more than an hour that are occurring.
