Ayala wants to call the mineral center of La Cantueña, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, for “her efforts” to install it here

After going through the courts and making a lot of noise in the media and social networks, the mayor of Fuenlabrada, Javier Ayala, has found its penultimate way of refusing the installation of the “macro centre” for unaccompanied minors (MENAS) in its commune.

The councilor’s team sent a notification this Monday in which it proposes that the space that the Community of Madrid is going to build in La Cantueña and will inaugurate before the end of the month, bear the name of Isabel Diaz Ayuso.

This is what they will debate this Thursday in plenary session of the Municipal Council. PSOE of Fuenlabrada They assure that the name of Ayuso will serve as “recognition of the president’s efforts to ensure by all means that this space is located in Fuenlabrada.”

The PSOE jokes that La Cantueña will be “the largest investment made by the regional government of Fuenlabrada in decades”, with a total of 19 million. Blaming the regional government, of the Popular Party, for not investing normally in this municipality.

In its statement, the PSOE insists on its thesis that the Fuenlabrada menas centre will be the only one to accommodate minors and that, therefore, it will not be just another centre but the “big” center.

Both Más Madrid and the PSOE, Vox and the businessmen of the region have rejected this macrocentre which, as Ayala recalls today, is located in an “isolated and overcrowded space in which the principles of equality, equity, non-discrimination, singularity and solidarity will be respected.” “It will be an impossible achievement.”

In the motion that they will debate in plenary session, where those from Ayala have the absolute majority, they explain that the space of the menas center is built in a building “donated years ago by the City Hall for another purpose” and “after “the City Council approved the return of this land” and, what is more important, it will do it “unilaterally and behind the back of the local government.”

Three legal proceedings

The center, the text concludes, “will be the beginning (and one could say the only) legacy that the president will leave.” Isabel Diaz Ayuso in the town of Fuenlabrada.

As published by this newspaper, three legal proceedings are currently open due to the unilateral decision of the Community. Two of them, before the contentious-administrative courts, refer to the cessation of work and to the reversion of the Cantueña spaceboth issues approved by the City Council and appealed by the Community of Madrid.

The third case, in the hands of the TSJM, is the complaint of the City Council regarding the allocation of works by emergency measures carried out by the Government of the Community of Madrid. All three cases are awaiting judicial resolution.
