Ayatollah Yazdi, a cleric who criticized Iran’s supreme leader, arrested

Javad Muhaggiq Yazdi, a well-known cleric in Iran, was detained for criticizing the country’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the government’s policies.

The “Azad Iran” channel “Telegram” reported this, citing Iranian media.

According to the information, some time ago the cleric made the following statement about the supreme leader of Iran:

“If Ali Khamenei sends his children to Lebanon and Gaza, I am willing to go too. You send the people’s children to die and hire guards for your own children.”

It should be noted that critical clerics have faced arrest warrants in Iran in recent years.
