Work has begun on installing an electronic scale on the Fuzuli-Shusha highway called “Zafar Yolu”.
This was reported by the head of the cargo transportation department of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Subhan Abilov, during a press tour organized for the Unified Monitoring Center for Electronic Scales .
“In the past 10 days, 75,000 cargo vehicles passed in both directions using electronic scales installed in both directions of the highway in Karadakh, and information about those who violated the rules was transferred to the Baku Information System. Police Department city,” said S. Abilov.
According to him, the project to install electronic scales based on new technology on public roads in Azerbaijan will end at the end of 2026.
He noted that the installation of electronic scales was completed at three places on the state border highway with Baku-Guba-Russia in Azerbaijan and at one place on the state border highway with Baku-Alat-Kazakhstan-Georgia:
“To date, 6 electronic scales have been installed in the country and a total of 51 scales are planned to be installed in 31 locations.”
It should be noted that the procedure for carrying out actions in the event of an administrative violation related to the driving of vehicles that exceed the dimensions, weight and axle mass parameters permitted with a load on public roads is detected with the help of electronic scales and devices. technicians. with photo or video recording functions and the issuance of an electronic decision on administrative sanction is specified in the Code of Administrative Offenses.
In accordance with the requirements of Article 353 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, persons will be fined 200 manats for driving large or heavy vehicles on public roads in violation of the requirements for permissible dimensions. The amount of the fine for persons driving light or heavy vehicles on public roads that exceed the parameters of permissible weight and axle weight is 600 manats. Individuals are fined 1,200 manats for repeating the same mistake during the year by a person who received an administrative penalty.
With another change, a fine of 1,500 manat for officials and 4,000 manat for legal entities is provided for loading large or heavy vehicles that exceed the permitted parameters of size, weight and axle weight. Officials will be fined up to 2,500 manats and legal entities up to 7,000 manats for repetition of the same mistake during the year by a person who has received an administrative penalty.
