The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Diaz Ayusowill open an interactive center for Memory in memory of the victims of terrorism at number 13 of Saint-Jérôme race. The Memorial to the Victims of Terrorism will offer interactive activities aimed primarily at schoolchildren so that they know the history and the importance of keeping the memory of the victims And prevent violence. This content will be developed in an expanded reality format, explanatory panels and exhibitions with graphic and audiovisual material.
It is a permanent space of memory, both individual and collective, of all the people who suffered from this scourge, who were murdered or injured during attacks. The regional government will invest in this project around a million euros and will be open to the public in 2026. This measure is carried out in accordance with the Law for the Protection, Recognition and Memory of Victims of Terrorism of the Community of Madrid.
According to this regulation, the objective of this center will be to improve citizens’ knowledge of the history of terrorism, the victims and the work of institutions and entities that stand out for their fight and sacrifices against terrorism, as well as to raise awareness among the population defense of freedom and human rights and against terrorism. Remuneration
