The government defended the state attorney general, Álvaro Garcia Ortizafter learning of his accusation by the Supreme Court. The Minister of Justice, Félix Bolaños, wanted to show his “total support for the work of the Attorney General of the State” and indicted Alberto González Amador, associate of Isabel Diaz Ayuso. “Between confessed criminals and prosecutors who tell the truth, the government is on the side of the latter,” Bolaños said. He is not the only member of Sánchez’s executive to have defended García Ortiz: María Jesús Montero defended that the prosecution only “defended itself against a lie” from González Amador.
