Azerbaijan and Armenia are close to reaching a final agreement on the text of the peace treaty, Ilham Aliyev said after a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the press service of the head of the republic reported.
“The Head of State recalled that the significant delay in Armenia’s proposals on the text of the document had a negative impact on the process, but, however, emphasized that the parties are close to reaching a final agreement on the text of the document. and negotiations. will continue after the end of the COP”, – the message said.
Scholz noted that Germany supports the establishment of peace and good neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
In the conversation, he also informed Aliyev about the impossibility of attending the UN climate conference COP29, which will be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. He highlighted the importance of a successful climate conference and assured that Germany will provide the necessary support.
