An agreement was signed today between Azerbaijan and Türkiye to strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism and develop tourism relations.

The document was signed by the president of the Agency, Fuad Nagiyev, of Azerbaijan, and Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, of Türkiye.
The agreement places special emphasis on issues such as the exchange of information in the field of hospitality, tourism and its legislation, the improvement of tourism statistics, cooperation in the field of gastrotourism, tourism education and the fundamentals of investment promotion.
The agreement also includes issues related to the organization of media tours, information tours, events and seminars, the development of a joint travel route, increasing the flow of tourists through mutual promotional and marketing activities and the implementation of activities joint efforts in the direction of protection. and promotion of natural and cultural heritage.
It should be noted that the number of Turkish citizens who visited Azerbaijan in the period from January to October this year was 357,615, 16% more than in the same period last year.
