Azerbaijan will host two international karate competitions in 2025.
This was stated by Ulvi Guliyev, president of the Karate Federation of Azerbaijan, in his statement to journalists, reports “Trend”.
U. Guliyev said that athletes from up to 10 countries will participate in these tournaments. He noted that these countries are always represented in these competitions and the federation is currently focused on organizing these two tournaments.
Ulvi Guliyev, speaking about the opening ceremony of the 29th Azerbaijan Championships among children, youth and youth, as well as the 32nd Azerbaijan Championships among adults and parakarate, noted that more than 600 athletes participated in the competitions. He also emphasized that karatekas from all regions of Azerbaijan participated in the competition and the main objective was to form the national team.
Guliyev added that the award winners will participate with the Azerbaijan national team in next year’s international tournaments, including the European Championship, the Islamic Solidarity Games and the Commonwealth of Independent States Games. After the formation of the national team, training camps will begin and preparations will be made for next year’s competitions in all age categories. Ulvi Guliyev also noted that he hopes the athletes will achieve good results.
It should be noted that the 29th national championship and championship will conclude on December 1.
