Azerbaijan will be represented at the 3rd Antalya Yoruk Turkmenistan International Festival to be held in Türkiye

The 3rd Antalya Yoruk Turkmenistan International Festival will be held in Turkey from 13 to 15 September. Our country will be represented at the festival by the Azerbaijan Cultural Centre, which is part of our embassy in Turkey.

From the Cultural Center Oku.AzAccording to information provided to , the Yoruks, i.e. nomadic people who shaped the rich cultural life of Anatolia for centuries, formed an important part of Turkish culture.

Antalya is one of the cities where the most brilliant examples of this ancient culture are alive and its aim is to take on the task of transferring this rich cultural heritage to future generations. The main goal of the festival is to comprehensively transmit Yoruk culture to future generations. The festival will be organized at the picnic area of ​​Döşemealtı Düzlerçamı Karaman, surrounded by the unique natural beauties of Antalya.

The event will feature local music and dance programs from different parts of the Turkic world, national tents will be set up, and Turkish-speaking peoples will demonstrate their culture and art.

The festival will feature exhibitions of works by forgotten master craftsmen, presentations of traditional Turkish cuisine and sports competitions. A large number of local and foreign tourists are expected to take part in the festival – more than two hundred thousand people in total.

In addition to countries such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Greece, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Romania, Georgia, China and Ukraine will also be represented at the event.

The national culture, art and crafts of our country will be widely displayed in the Azerbaijani tent organized by the Cultural Center, and our national sweets will be presented to the guests. Azerbaijani music and dance will be performed in the artistic part of the festival. At the concert, samples of our national and folk music will be presented by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Azerin, soloist of the Cultural Center Vusala Asgarova, tar player Parviz Musayev and the center’s folk dance ensemble “Khazar”.
