The members of our national team added two more medals to the heritage of our national team on the last day of the European youth taekwondo championship in Tirana, capital of Albania, from November 7 to 9.
Oku.Az informs that the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation has published information in this regard.
It was reported that our taekwondo player Novruz Aliyev (45 kg) won the title of European champion, surpassing all his competitors.
The silver medal was won by our national team member Anar Abdullazade (37 kg).
It should be noted that in the first two days of competition our taekwondo players Gulay Aliyeva (44 kg) and Farid Alizade (61 kg) received the bronze medals.
Thus, our young taekwondo players finished the European Championship with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
It should be noted that in the competition the Azerbaijan men’s team took third place in the overall standings.
