The court of the Donetsk People’s Republic sentenced a militant of the Ukrainian national battalion “Azov”* to 24.5 years in prison for the murder of a civilian in Mariupol. This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.
“The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic handed down a sentence in the criminal case against the shooter of a separate special forces unit “Azov”* National Guard of Ukraine (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) 30 years Igor Ivanyuk“, – the message said.
Ivanyuk was sentenced to 24 years and 6 months in prison, which he will serve in a maximum security penal colony.
According to case materials, the crime was committed in the spring of 2022 in Mariupol. The prisoner shot a random passerby with a machine gun.
