Pecco Bagnaia took the sprint victory in the MotoGP Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna. The Italian rider took the win on home soil after beating Jorge Martín in a great battle between the two championship leaders. Enea Bastianini finished third, ahead of Marc Márquez who managed to move up to fourth but was unable to beat the Ducati 24. Acosta rounded off a great day with a magnificent fifth place.
