The Balearic government, headed by Marga Prohens (PP), has filed an appeal with the Constitutional Court against the amnesty law approved by Pedro Sánchez. The regional executive claims that the controversial regulations violate the separation of powers by annulling judicial proceedings related to the Catalan independence movement.
The trial was registered this Tuesday at the Bar of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands. The archipelago thus joins Madrid, Aragon, Murcia, Andalusia, Galicia, Cantabria, the Valencian Community and Castilla La Mancha, governed by the socialist Emiliano García-Page.
