Banca March announced this Tuesday the launch of its third venture capital co-investment program, called Mars PE Global IIIwhich is a fund of funds that focuses its investments on investment products private equity international.
In the first program, launched in 2020, it was possible to raise 250 million euros and attract 600 participants. It was built with a total of 15 thematic funds which in turn hold stakes in more than 180 companies. With the second program, 360 million was raised and more than 700 investors were attracted. In this case, the underlying is made up of 13 funds bringing together 70 companies.
This third program coincides with the fifth anniversary of the managing subsidiary March Private Equity and pursues the same objectives as the first two. In this case The goal is to reach 350 million euros, of which Banca March will contribute 20%, or 70 million. Likewise, it offers the possibility of financing 50% of disbursements to investors. The target sectors are technology, health, services and energy transition.
Regarding commissions, the plan proposed by the manager consists of tax on disbursed capitaland not on commitment, during portfolio construction, which reduces commissions in the initial phases.

Co-investment model
This new initiative is in addition to the group’s co-investment proposals, which constitute a unique model on the market and allow clients to invest in the same products as the bank. Since 2008, Grupo Banca March has been committed more than 3.3 billion euros in illiquid assets, with a return recovery multiple of between 1.5 and 2.5 times. During this period, more than 3,100 co-investors participated with the bank in various investments.
