Banco Santander has also implemented a series of measures aimed at directly helping people who are experiencing the worst problems due to the effects derived from DANA. Among them, for example, the donation of two million euros to help the victims and the decision, moreover, to increase the contributions of each of its employees.

Likewise, the entity has deployed the insurance action protocol for extraordinary weather events, in order to help from the first moment those who have home insurance in all the relevant procedures. Although the majority of losses caused by this DANA are covered by the Insurance Compensation Consortium, outside the contractual framework of the home insurance contract, the bank contacted them to facilitate the procedures with the Consortium, in addition a 24-hour telephone number (91 343 58 70) and communication via WhatsApp, application and digital alternatives to resolve the incident.
