“I will not support anything that harms Asturias,” he said after meeting the head of the Executive.
“I always say the same thing,” the president of Asturias, the socialist Adrián Barbón, boasted this Friday in the press room of the Palace of Moncloa. He thus assures that he also did it behind closed doors with the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to whom he personally expressed his rejection of the Catalan quota, which he had already expressed publicly when the agreement concluded with the ERC was known.
Barbón, the first regional president of the PSOE to march in front of the Moncloa Palace, arrived at the meeting with under his arm a document setting out Asturias’ position regarding regional financing, agreed in the regional Parliament by all parties. Vox in 2020.
The Asturian president did not specifically cite the unique funding granted for Catalonia, but he made his position clear: “I will not support anything that harms Asturias.”
