These actions will be financed by the Foundation and by fundraising initiatives such as the auction of the jerseys signed by the players.
Laporta also wanted to address those affected through the aforementioned statement: “In these difficult times and on behalf of FC Barcelona and our Foundation, I would like to express our deepest support and solidarity and convey hope and warmth to the people who are suffering so much from this disaster caused by DANA.
“As president of FC Barcelona, I believe that, from a club like Barça, we can be useful at this time by being, on the one hand, a spokesperson among our supporters to channel aid to the entities that work on the ground, and on the other, provide financial support for the rehabilitation of essential social and educational facilities as I have already conveyed directly to some of the most affected municipalities,” added the president.
