He Barcelona recognized that it was cheated in summer 2022 by paying a million euros commissions to a man who posed as the representative of Robert Lewandowski. This happened just over two years ago after the Polish striker joined the club, but it is now common knowledge.
On July 29, 2022, several Barcelona officials received an email from an address named after Pini Zahavirepresentative of Robert Lewandowski, who was at the time Joan Laporta’s newest recruit for the Barça team. The Pole also played a key role in his first season, being top scorer in a League that Barcelona ended up winning.
In this email, the scammer demanded one million euros from Barcelona for part of Lewandowski’s transfer fee, which in theory was not paid.
