Barcelona are reported to be in salary arrears due to the coronavirus pandemic. The total amount of the debt is included in the report for the 2020/21 financial year and does not affect Barcelona’s business conditions for the current year.
The Catalan club will settle scores with its former captain at the end of the 2024/25 season.
It should be noted that Messi played for Barça, where he graduated between 2003 and 2021.
