Bashkortostan actively works with all those who are open to dialogue and cooperation. This was stated by the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, at the XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Ufa, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
He noted the existence of serious agreements in the development of the industrial cooperation process between Russia and Kazakhstan. First of all, in the field of the petrochemical industry and mining.
“We are working very actively with those states that are open to dialogue and cooperation. These are Kazakhstan, Belarus and Uzbekistan. Our businessmen work very actively with Chinese businessmen and cooperation with partners from Türkiye has not stopped either. Therefore, these are our main partners, where the trade turnover of the countries I mentioned exceeds 50% of the total trade turnover of Bashkortostan. “We are moving further and further away from simple commodity exchange and we are all interested in deeper industrial cooperation.” – Khabirov said.
In his words, to attract investments the republic has created a very broad infrastructure menu. In particular, a preferential territory and economic zone, as well as a series of government measures, including tax regimes, “so that investments can be made safely and profitably.”
“All these measures apply to our foreign partners, including the Republic of Kazakhstan. We have a special relationship with Kazakhstan; It was in Kazakhstan that we opened one of the first representative offices of the Republic of Bashkortostan as part of the representative office of the Russian Federation. Of course, relations with Kazakhstan are facilitated by the fact that we have common roots, common traditions and common forms of economic management for many centuries. That’s why we understand each other very well.” – Khabirov said later.
He also indicated that there are plans in the tourism sector.
“We are interested in opening Kazakhstan to Bashkir tourists. We did it through the Bashkir longevity program. When we co-finance from the state budget the cost of tickets for the “Bashkir Longevity” program for our pensioners traveling to Astana. Our residents, of course, are interested in Almaty and ski resorts. These are the two main points that we will continue to drive towards.
