The basketball world is in mourning. The legendary player Dikembe Mutombo died at the age of 58 years old because of brain cancer which he had been fighting since 2022.
Mutombo is one of the great legends of the NBA. He is part of the “Hall of Fame” and is considered one of the best defenders of history. As a player he won four awards Best defender of the yeareight presences in the Star and six in the best defensive quintet.
Mutombo stood out for his superiority in blocking. Realization 3,289 caps throughout his career, only behind another legend like Hakeem Olajuwon.
