The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, has demanded a report on the criminal case initiated after a drunken man attacked a member of the SVO in Balashikha near Moscow, the press service of the department reported.

According to the investigation, on September 13, near a grocery store, a drunk man had an unfounded verbal conflict with a soldier and his wife, and then hit him several times in the head and torso. After this, the attacker fled the scene and the victim had to seek medical help.
An investigator is currently working with the detainee. The question of filing charges against him and choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
