Begoña Gómez’s defense asks Judge Juan Carlos Peinado to procedural order disassemble take ownership of the Complutense University software, as LaSexta was able to confirm.
Concretely, he asked the president of the Court of Instruction Number 41 of Madrid summon María José Sánchez Rosales to appearand Carmen Mitxelena Camiruagaof the Direction of the UCM School of Government; María Elvira Gutiérrez-Vierna, university auditor; and Zulma Escalante, co-director of the ESG Sustainability Permanent Fromation Master.
The defense also filed a complaint with Judge Juan Carlos Peinado to call María Jesús Morillo and Mercedes Vaquero to testify, members of the Office for Transparency of Research Results (OTRI), as indicated in a document presented this Monday, to which laSexta had access.
His lawyer, former socialist minister Antonio Camacho, requested this battery of races to the instructor after receiving the recently admitted complaint from Hazte Oír in which Begoña Gómez is accused of inappropriately appropriating Complutense software, as well as trespassing.
It was on October 29 that the judge agreed to investigate whether Pedro Sánchez’s wife “had registered in his favor” the TSC Competitive Social Transformation trademark and, subsequently, the chair’s software which had been financed by businesses, but “always for the UCM.” He also agreed to investigate whether there was an intrusion in the fact that Gómez prepared the technical specifications for the award – by the Rectorate – of the assistance and consultancy service for the creation of a management platform and impact measurement for small and medium-sized businesses. .
Provide emails
“Given the content of the aforementioned complaint, this party, in exercising the right of defense,” Camacho provided “the emails” that show that Begoña Gómez, “if she signed the list of technical requirements, “That’s because Complutense University specifically stated so.”. In this sense, he justified one of the subpoena requests he made. As noted, María José Sánchez Rosales, from the Directorate of the School of Government, signs the two emails that she contributed to the file.
In the case of María Elvira Gutiérrez-Vierna, university auditor, the defense indicated that it requested her appearance “in order to ratify what she declared last week before the Commission of Inquiry of the Assembly of Madrid: that the signing of the sheets of the technical requirements were carried out in accordance with UCM standards”.
For his part, he defended the summons of the two members of OTRI because they “indicated” to Begoña Gómez “how she should register” the Internet domain. On this point, the lawyer emphasized that, “as the UCM itself demonstrated”, declared the domain “it has never been registered in the Intellectual Property Register.” And he clarified that the domain registration “was carried out according to the instructions of the UCM itself”.
As part of the debate on the said register, the defense considered relevant the summons of the co-director of the ESG Sustainability Permanent Fromation Master, who “registers the domain of the aforementioned master in his name, being also in this case, personnel from outside the university”. Finally, he justified his request to call the current director of the School of Government of the UCM to inform him that Begoña Gómez proposed the name of “Competitive Social Transformation”.
