Belarus again increased export duties on oil products

The Belarusian government has revised upward export duties on some petroleum products. This is clear from the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic published today, November 6, on the National Internet Legal Portal.

In particular, the tax on liquefied hydrocarbon gases is set at $49.7 per ton, previously it was $45.2, and on ethane, butane and isobutane, at $44.7 per ton of these products, previously The tax on these products was $40.6. Duties on crude oil, as well as on fuel oil, bitumen, petroleum jelly and paraffin, petroleum products, gasoline, diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, lubricating oils and other petroleum products, as before, they will be null. The resolution came into force on November 1 of this year.

Recall that since the beginning of the year, the Belarusian authorities have abolished practically all duties on the export of crude oil, bitumen, fuel oil and other petroleum products. The zeroing of duties occurred through an agreement with the Russian side and was associated with the fiscal maneuver of the Russian Federation. However, since September, butane and isobutane have been reintroduced for liquefied petroleum gases and ethane. Then the government of the republic decided to double them as of October 1.
