The increase in cyber attacks on Belarusian web resources, the cessation of support for software products from foreign manufacturers, the spread of malware and data leaks are direct threats to national security,” he said at the seminar “On the state current and addresses”. to improve the legislation that regulates the areas of information protection and cybersecurity.”
According to him, “it is evident that during the presidential election campaign, cyber interference will only intensify.”
“Therefore, it is of particular importance to implement a set of measures to counteract information attacks, as well as to minimize their number and consequences,” – Sergeenko highlighted.
Let us remember that Belarus has been subject to strict Western sanctions since 2020. After the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the pressure on Minsk only intensified. Furthermore, in the Belarusian capital they believe that Western countries are plotting aggressive plans against the republic.
