Belarus is a reliable friend to China – EADaily, November 6, 2024 – Politics News, Belarus News

China should know that Belarus is a reliable friend for it. This was announced by Alexander Lukashenko today, November 6, at the grand opening ceremony of an international-class swimming pool in Minsk.

The Belarusian leader thanked the Chinese side for the construction of this important facility.

“China promised, China delivered. This is discipline. This is an example for us. No sooner said than done. And neither Trump, nor Harris, nor Biden will divert the Chinese people from the path. We need to learn in this sense.” – said.

At the same time, Lukashenko expressed the sincere gratitude of the Belarusian people to the Chinese side.

“Thank you very much. You should know that we are reliable friends for you. In the past years, more than 30 years, we have walked together and China has never reproached Belarus for deviating from the course we agreed to follow together.”

In addition, Lukashenko especially thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“Thanks to him, the great friend of the Belarusian people, Xi Jinping, we built this facility. If only this one. In the near future we will see another miracle in Minsk, probably more significant, but also for the footballers.” – he emphasized.

The Belarusian leader also drew attention to the fact that the Chinese side invested significant financial resources in the construction of both facilities.

“Understand: this is a lot of money. And the People’s Republic of China has invested seriously. This is free technical assistance… They are ready to help us in several of these powerful social facilities on their own. Therefore, we are indebted to this man and to the great Chinese people. Many thanks to them.” – said Lukashenko.

Let us remember that the Minsk pool is one of the projects within the framework of humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and China. Construction began in August 2020. The design and construction was carried out by the Chinese side on a turnkey basis in accordance with the technical requirements and standards of the People’s Republic of China, as well as compliance with the technical requirements and criteria of the Federation Swimming International.
