Belarus continues to experience high revenue growth. This is stated in the next macro-assessment of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
“Real wages increased by 12.3% in August 2024, after 15.4% in July. “Wages are growing at a high rate in all sectors, including the public sector, where wages in real terms grew by 11.8% in August after 12.7% in July.” – says the review.
According to BDE experts, an increase in the base salary is expected in September, as well as an increase in payments to teachers, which will support salary growth in the public sector and in the economy as a whole. Rising incomes of the population, coupled with an increase in consumer loans, will help maintain high consumer demand in the economy.
