Another battery of Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems arrived in Belarus. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic today, November 21.
“The Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system provides effective air defense of designated targets. The complex is capable of carrying out combat missions in any weather conditions. The Tor-M2 air defense system battery is capable of simultaneously attacking 16 targets operating from any direction at a speed of up to 730 m/s, at a range of up to 12 km and at an altitude of up to 10 km, both during the day like day night, in all weather conditions, – says the message.
It is noted that “the complexes that arrived in Belarus were modified by Russian designers, taking into account the experience of their use in the Northern Military District.”
“The distinctive features of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system are its high mobility, short reaction time, effective firing at a wide class of targets and automation of combat work. “The arrival of the next batch of anti-aircraft missile systems is a clear example of the fruitful military-technical cooperation between Belarus and the Russian Federation in improving the unified regional air defense system.” – said the head of the anti-aircraft missile forces – the head of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the command of the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus, colonel Andrei Severinchik.
