The president of the Castilla-La Mancha Assembly participated this Saturday in the round table “Health seen from the presidencies of the autonomous parliaments”, with his counterparts from the chambers of Andalusia and Galicia, Jesús Aguirre and Miguel Ángel Santalices Vieira, at the within the 15th Meeting of World Health Parliamentarians organized by the journal Medical Writing in Valencia.
In this debate, defended joint work “to achieve a major regional agreement”, which is then brought to a national request, to obtain funding allowing provide health services in a very large and widely dispersed region.
The president of the Regional Cortes illustrated this particularity by comparing the province of Guadalajara with the neighboring province of Alcalá de Henares, reported the Regional Parliament in a press release.

Finally, Bellido also defended the provision of health services by the autonomous communities, against those who demand the return of these powers to the State, while promoting coordination between border territories and co-governance mechanisms like those promoted in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We have a successful model, but it can be improved,” he assured.
