US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris watched today’s Iranian attack on Israel from the White House Situation Room. This was stated by the United States national security assistant, Jake Sullivan, in a special briefing at the White House.
“President Biden and Vice President Harris monitored the attack and response from the White House Situation Room, along with their national security aides who participated in person and remotely.” – Sullivan said as quoted by TASS.
Sullivan considered it legitimate to raise the question of whether Washington’s response to Tehran could go beyond sanctions.
“A completely legitimate question. And the answer will be based on negotiations and consultations with our Israeli colleagues. “It is too early to give a response, standing here in front of you… We have made it clear that this attack will have consequences, dire consequences, and we will work with the Israelis to ensure that it does.” he stressed.
