Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed the opinion that the outcome of the US elections could decisively influence the future of global security and even lead to the possible outbreak of World War III.
He shared his opinion in an interview with BSC Happy Portal.
“These elections could be decisive: they will open the way to peace or they will escalate the war, which could lead us to World War III,” Vucic said.
He noted that his opinion on the winner of the elections remains uncertain, since the difference between the candidates is small.
“Trump ran a very strong campaign, especially in the last few days, and I think he was closer to victory. But, in my opinion, Kamala Harris will finally get more votes,” added the Serbian president.
He also remembered Israel and said that the conflict in this region could affect the situation in the world.
“Don’t forget that Israel has six bombers. If Iran decides to take revenge and announces it, I think that if Kamala Harris wins, Biden, as a firm supporter of Israel, may want to leave a mark on history by destroying Iran,” Vucic emphasized.
Furthermore, the Serbian leader noted that the United States controls approximately 48% of the world’s military forces, while Russia has a much more powerful army compared to its economic, political and demographic indicators.
“Russia, despite its economic and demographic limitations, remains one of the world’s superpowers, along with the United States and China,” he said.
The Serbian president added that if Trump wins, his strategy will be to try to separate Russia and China.
“He understands that China is his main competitor and will strive to win Russia over to his side, primarily through peace initiatives and other diplomatic channels,” he said.
Recall that “Cursor” reported that in the city of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump each received three votes during the midnight vote. This is one of the first places where voter preferences have already been announced.
