Biden confused North Korea with South Korea

US President Joe Biden, during a speech in Wisconsin, wrongly announced that he had visited North Korea to negotiate the construction of factories for the production of microchips on American soil.

“We passed the Chips and Science Act, which allowed companies from all over the world to come back. Not many years ago we had 40% of the world market, but now we’re down to zero. Countries I’ve traveled to, from North Korea, South Korea, in any case, all over the world to get computer chip factories.” – he said from the stage to the event participants.

Biden, the oldest president in US history, often gives his political opponents reason to doubt his cognitive abilities, regularly making slip-ups and gaffes in his public speeches. Republicans are using this in a partisan battle to cast doubt on Biden’s ability to lead effectively.

Against this backdrop, a survey conducted in July by the sociology firm Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute think tank showed that more than half of Americans consider the deteriorating health of the US president to be a threat to the country’s security.

Biden announced on July 21 that he would not seek a second term. He endorsed the vice presidential nomination Kamala Harriswho has already received a nomination from the US Democratic Party to run in the presidential election on November 5, RIA Novosti recalls.
