Biden denies reports of immigrants eating cats in US

US President Joe Biden on Sunday condemned Republican claims that Haitian immigrants were allegedly eating pets in Ohio.

Previously Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Haitian migrants were eating pets in the city of Springfield. Springfield police told RIA Novosti there was no evidence of this.

Trump’s running mate on Saturday JD Vance and Trump’s son Donald Jr. The social network X posted videos of immigrants allegedly roasting cats in Dayton, Ohio. The city’s police deny such claims. At the same time, Haitian authorities have described such statements about immigrants as discriminatory.

“He (Trump) says immigrants, black immigrants, are poisoning the blood of our country. Now his running mate (Vance) is attacking Haitian Americans in Ohio. This is wrong and it must stop. Any president must reject hate in America.” – Biden said at a dinner in the United States Congress.
