Biden gives the green light to the operation against Hezbollah – media

According to information published in the media, US President Joe Biden has given Israel the time necessary to carry out a military operation against the terrorist group Hezbollah.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

According to the publication’s sources, this step is aimed at destroying the group’s military potential before the United States returns to negotiations on a diplomatic solution to the situation in Lebanon.

Recall that US President Joe Biden expressed concern about possible Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning of the risks of destabilizing global energy markets.

Amid tensions between the two countries, the Biden administration is seeking to avoid further escalation by proposing to focus on military targets such as air bases and missile sites rather than energy infrastructure.

The US administration is also considering introducing a new round of economic sanctions against Iran as an alternative to direct attacks on its economic facilities. This strategy gives Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu some room to maneuver against radical members of his coalition who are demanding tougher measures. However, it remains to be seen whether Netanyahu will accept this offer.

The political situation in the United States is also influencing the story: Vice President Kamala Harris, whose campaign focuses on maintaining support in key states with high percentages of Arab and Muslim populations, is willing to avoid actions that could weaken her support.

At the same time, analysts note that Netanyahu, who maintains a close relationship with Republican Donald Trump, may be reluctant to take the current administration’s position into account.

According to Ali Vaez, director of the International Crisis Group’s Iran project, Netanyahu understands that Biden will not be able to exert significant pressure on him before the US presidential election.

Váez also noted that the escalation of tensions in the Middle East could favor both Trump and Netanyahu, prolonging the period of active actions and reducing the influence of US diplomacy in the region.

Previously, Cursor wrote about what the conversation between Netanyahu, Biden and Harris went like.

According to observers, the parties discussed more than just the issues listed in the Biden administration’s report.
