US President Joe Biden made attendees smile at a festive Thanksgiving event at a Coast Guard base in New York with a hilarious scene.
According to The New York Post, the 82-year-old American leader jokingly “stole” a Hawaiian bun from an army buffet in a hilarious display of humor.
Aides said Biden stole a bagel from a plate, cast a mischievous look at waiters and then quickly took a bite as he prepared to distribute vegetables to military personnel and their families. All this happened to the soundtrack of the song “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, which added to the comedy of the moment.

After his off-the-cuff joke, Biden took the microphone and declared, “I’m fired,” maintaining the event’s casual atmosphere.
The Head of State participated in the distribution of food for the military, their families and coast guard personnel, expressing his support for the employees during the holiday. The incident was yet another example of Biden’s efforts to connect with people on a personal level while adding a warm and fun atmosphere to formal events.
