Mohamed Bin Salim, president of the International Federation of Cars (VIA), believes that cars participating in the Rounds of the World Cup Formula 1 will depend on the cheapest in 8 -inch engines by 2029.

It was decided to launch the new power unit “6) next year in 2026 with the accession of Audi and Cadillac teams in the list of participants in the World Cup.

But Ben Selim trusts that in the future it will be possible to be cheaper engines, which will attract new commands to participate in Formula 1.

Bin Selim said in statements on the AutusPort website on Tuesday: “The use of engines (in 8) remains an option, I am very optimistic and satisfied with this opportunity, and the formula 1 administration supports it, and the teams also understand that this is a step on the right track.”

He added: “We must move soon in this direction, we need three years, and we hope that by 2029 a new team will join the participants.”

The Audi team plans to replace the Sobe cake, while the 11th team of Cadillac will be between the list of participants, and the International Car Federation is looking for the most Chinese team, which is the 12th team.

Bin Selim said: “At some point, we will feel that the time has come to open an application for the participation of another team, and I do not mean here to bother the rest of the teams.”

He concluded his comments: “This step will not be just an achievement, but rather it should be useful, and that the new team helps to maintain business formula 1.”
