Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken over the phone, the Armenian Cabinet press service reports.
“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Issues related to the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the Armenian-US bilateral agenda were discussed.” – says the message.
No other details are provided.
In 2022, Yerevan and Baku, thanks to the mediation of Russia, the United States and the EU, began to discuss a future peace treaty. At the end of May 2023, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Yerevan is ready to recognize Azerbaijan’s sovereignty within Soviet borders, i.e. together with Karabakh.
