Based on this argument, he asked the Xunta to clarify whether the difference “will be paid with public money.”
Rodil, accompanied in Santiago by Block Energy spokesperson Xosé Manuel Golpe, accused the regional initiative of proposing “to buy energy from large producers” who promote new wind farms “to sell it at a price lower”. market”, which would involve carrying out “dumping” and would be “illegal”. To compensate for the imbalance, it asked the Galician Government the question of Whether it envisages the contribution of public funds or whether the private party will be responsible of the joint enterprise Resources of Galicia, which promotes the project.
Regardless, the nationalist vice-spokesperson disfigured Xunta’s proposal as nothing more than a “big smokescreen”: “It’s propaganda to try to make us believe that they are doing something while the only thing the PP is doing is “continuing to advance in this predatory policy, in this energy policy at the service of friendly companies”, he recriminated.

Neither of the two representatives of the nationalist formation missed the opportunity to contrast their own proposal. According to Golpe, it would be based on a “100% public” energy company which would cover “the entire arc of the electricity and energy markets” –production, distribution and marketing– and also in the creation of a Galician electricity tariff. The objective would however be the same as that announced by the Xunta: “market energy at prices that allow companies to be competitive and also combat energy poverty,” said the Block Energy spokesperson.
Regarding his idea of a specific rate for Galicia that would respond to its surplus production – which goes “from 47% to 50%” depending on the year, Golpe reported – he insisted that “nothing prevents” that ‘it’s established, at least. , in accordance with state regulations-, and invoked its usefulness both to “promote reindustrialization” and to “reduce the electricity bill of the social and industrial fabric”.
