Boris Titov: “Two agreements on the future of carbon markets were signed at COP29”

“At the COP29 summit, Azerbaijan managed to conclude two agreements that advance carbon markets.”

Oku.AzAccording to information provided by Boris Titov, the special representative of the Russian president for relations with international organizations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, Boris Titov told NEWS.ru.

He noted that the participants in the Baku climate conference took up some articles of the Paris Agreement that had remained in a “deadlock” for 15 years.

“This is the beginning of carbon markets. Another thing is that each country is developing its own model. The basis for the formation of a mandatory market has been created,” Boris Titov concluded.
