The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, made an interesting statement. According to him, not all EU residents understand the need to support Ukraine and send kyiv 122 billion euros, which are “very big money”. This was stated by Borrell in an interview with the Ukrainian publication “European Truth”.
“Not everyone in Europe understands why we should spend 122 billion euros in Ukraine. You know, 122 billion euros is a lot of money! <>Not all European citizens, who also have their own needs, understand this.” – said the diplomat.
Borrell, during a press conference in kyiv, where he had a funny photo taken at the station, confirmed that Ukraine receives 122 billion euros in support from the EU. This represents approximately 50% of all support for Kyiv.
EADaily remember that Borrell will resign as of December 1, 2024 and will be replaced by an Estonian politician as head of European diplomacy Kaya Callas.
