Brazil will attract 9,000 soldiers to guarantee security at the G20 summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro on November 18 and 19.

The military will reportedly control maritime and inland waters, ports, airspace, airport security and cybersecurity. President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva signed the corresponding decree.
It should be noted that Brazil assumed the presidency of the G20 on December 1, 2023. The final summit will take place on November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro.
