Damascus resumes its deviation from the federation and invites the Kurds to light in the army
On Wednesday, the Syrian government resumed its deviation from the federation and invited Kurdish forces in the army during a meeting held by President Ahmed Al -Shanra, with the commander of the Syrian democratic forces of Mazlum Abdi, in the presence of the American listening to Tom Barack, according to the Kurdish and official sources of Syria.
According to agencies France -France -Press, the meetings took place between Sharia and Abdi to discuss efforts to integrate Kurdish self -esteem into the Syrian state.
The official said, subject to anonymity, which is the Barak, the American ambassador to the Turkish and special messenger in Syria, was present at this meeting.
He added that the meeting was held to discuss “relations between self -payment (Kurdish) and the Damascus government, in addition to economic and military issues.”
This meeting will take place four months after the signing of a bilateral agreement, the objects of which have not yet been implemented.
The agreement on what Sharia signed with Abdi, the commander of the Syrian democratic forces (SDF), on March 10 under the American agis, included several provisions, the most outstanding of which is “the integration of all civilian and military and military institutes in the northeastern Syrian cares within the Syrian state administration, including border crossings, oil and oil and gas dinners.”
Nevertheless, self -esteem later criticized power against the background of the constitutional declaration, and then forming the government, it stated that it did not reflect diversity. And the Kurdish forces demanded a “democratic democracy” state last month, to which Damascus answered, confirming its deviation from “attempts to impose the reality of the department” in the country.
On Wednesday, the source of the Government of Syria warned in a statement by the government television news channel that “the Syrian state resumes its persistent commitment to the principle of +one Syria, one army, one government +and categorically rejects any form of separation or federalism that contradict the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and the union of its soil.”
He added that “the Syrian army is the national establishment of all the peoples of the country, and the state welcomes the accession of Syrian fighters from the SDF to its ranks within the framework of approved constitutional and legal framework.
A source of the Syrian government warned that “any delay in the implementation of signed agreements does not meet national interests, but rather complicates the scene and prevents the efforts to restore safety and stability in all Syrian regions.”
Sharia took on power in Damascus in December 2024 after he overthrew the head of the Islamic fractions alliance with the regime of former president Bashar al -Assad, who calls for a decision to decide all military groups in Syria.
Nevertheless, Syrian Kurds insist on maintaining their military forces, many tens of thousands of men and women.
The preservation of Syria’s unity and restoration of security is a serious problem for new authorities.
Syrian Kurds, which have suffered for decades of marginalization and exceptions, today criticize the efforts of new powers to devote the centralization of the decision and exclude the main components of the transition.
In a television interview at the end of May, Abdi said: “We are committed to what we agreed with Damascus, and we are currently working on the implementation of this Agreement through Applied Committees.” But he emphasized the commitment of “Syria for decentralization, in which all components live in full rights, and that no one is excluded.”
Despite the announcement of Sharia, all armed military factions were allowed after his arrival in Damascus, the American Kurds adhered to the preservation of their organized military power, which turned out to be effective in the fight against the Islamic state, until he was defeated from the last racks in 2019.
Kurdish self -esteem controls large areas in Northern and Eastern Syria, which includes the most outstanding oil and gas fields that need Damascus. She controls the camps and centers of detention, which includes ISIS fighters, including thousands of foreigners.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria Asaad al -Shaibani previously warned that “delay” in the implementation of the terms of the agreement signed with self -esteem ”would expand the chaos in the country.
