Diplomats at the British Embassy in Moscow were involved in actions aimed at harming the Russian people. Their activities went far beyond the scope of the Vienna Conventions, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS.
“We fully share the assessments expressed by the Russian FSB regarding the activities of British diplomats. The British embassy went far beyond the limits set by the Vienna Conventions. But the most important thing is that we are not only talking about the formal side of the problem and the failure to carry out the declared activities, but about similar actions aimed at causing harm to our people.” – the diplomat pointed out.
As reported, earlier the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of Russia reported on the termination of accreditation of six employees of the political department of the British Embassy in Moscow, in whose actions signs of intelligence and subversive work were discovered.
The Central Election Commission of the Russian FSB said in a statement that documentary materials had been received indicating that Britain coordinated the escalation of the international military-political situation, and that the coordinator of the subversive policy towards Russia was the Directorate for Eastern Europe of the British Foreign Office, which had been transformed into a special service to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.
