Keir Starmer was speaking at his party conference when he made an unfortunate slip by calling for the return of the “sausages” from Gaza.
The British Prime Minister has just praised his “determined government” for facing the future, and called for peace in the Middle East and the return of the Israeli hostages captured during the Hamas attack on October 7 last year.
On Tuesday, he will attend the UN General Assembly and spoke at the conference about the message he will take with him to New York.
“I again call for restraint and a reduction in tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border. I again call on all parties to withdraw from the border. I again call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the return of the sausage hostages, and a recommitment to a two-state solution: a close, recognized Palestinian state with a secure Israel,” he said.

The Prime Minister quickly corrected himself after the slip, which quickly went viral.
Cursor previously reported that the minister was assaulted while speaking about crime in the UK.
