The National Police reported the arrest in France of the brother of the perpetrator of the attack on Alejo Vidal-Quadras in Madrid on November 9.

This is the seventh arrest made in the framework of this investigation led by the General Information Commission of the National Police. The arrest was made thanks to a European arrest and surrender order (OEDE) issued by Spain.
On June 19, police confirmed that the attacker, Mehrez Ayari, 37, had been arrested in the Netherlands, wanted for shooting Vidal-Quadras in the middle of a street in central Madrid.
