The brothers Louis And Roberto Riu Rodriguezchildren of Luis Riu Guell and members of the fourth generation of the Riu family, have become essential pieces of the generational change of the hotel chain RIU.
Both have spent years taking on increasing responsibilities in expansion projects, analyze investment opportunities and direct the design, THE constructionas well as the equipment of all new hotels and major renovations the company undertakes. Luis Riu Rodriguez
He is the eldest son of Luis Riu Güell. He studied economics at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, a master’s degree in economics in California (UCSB) and in marketing at the EAE in Barcelona. Before joining RIU, he worked in investment banking at BBVA London.
In the Mallorcan hotel chain he gained operational experience both on the beach and in the city in destinations such as Miami, New York, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Canary Islandswhere he also worked on the renovation works of the Riu Buenavista.
Luis also leads the project Riu Partythe innovative animation concept that RIU launched in Mexico in 2018 and which it is extending to numerous international and national destinations.
Roberto Riu Rodriguez
Roberto Riu is the youngest son of Luis Riu Güell. He studied business administration at IQS University in Barcelona, with a six-month exchange period in Montreal (Canada), and holds a master’s degree in Negotiations from the IESEG School of Management in Paris.
For a year he moved to the Netherlands to work at TUI Netherlands. He completed internships in different departments of the hotel and headquarters and completed his training in Operations in Jamaica and Miami and in Works on the Reform of the Riu Palace Jandia.
